Content removal and DMCA

How to get your profile changed or removed, and how to report copyright problems.

What we host and what we do not

trans.fans does not host, upload or distribute adult content. Our creator profiles contain a stage name, pronouns, a short description, links to official public pages and a public profile picture or Creative Commons photo. Everything else lives on third-party platforms.

So there are two different routes: removing or correcting your profile on our site, and reporting a copyright problem.

Removing or correcting your creator profile

If you are a creator and you found yourself on trans.fans, you are in charge of your listing.

  • Removal: email wouter@fansdirect.nl from an address or account we can connect to your profile (for example the email on your platform page, or a message from your verified social account) and ask us to take it down. We do not ask why, we do not ask you to reconsider and we do not attach conditions.
  • Corrections: wrong platform, old price, outdated description, wrong pronouns or a label you would not use? Tell us and we will fix it. If we described you in a way you would not describe yourself, that is our mistake.

We act on profile removal and correction requests within 48 hours.

After removal the page goes offline and its photo is deleted from our site. Search engines can take some time to drop old results; you can speed this up with Google's tool for outdated content.

If you believe something on trans.fans infringes your copyright, for example a photo or text, send a notice to wouter@fansdirect.nl with:

  • your full name and contact details, including an email address;
  • a description of the copyrighted work you own or represent;
  • the exact URL(s) on trans.fans where the material appears;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by you, your agent or the law;
  • a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them (for notices under the US DMCA: under penalty of perjury);
  • your physical or electronic signature (a typed full name is fine).

We review every valid notice and remove or change the material where appropriate. We aim to act within 48 hours and will let you know what we did.

If something of yours was removed

If we removed material you believe you had the right to use, reply to our email with an explanation and any proof of your rights. We will look at it again and, where appropriate, pass your response to the person who sent the notice. We do not decide ownership disputes between third parties.

Content leaked on other sites

If your content has been published somewhere else without your consent, we cannot remove it from sites we do not run, but you are not powerless:

  • report it to the site or platform hosting it, using their copyright or abuse form;
  • ask search engines to remove the results (Google has forms for copyright removal and for non-consensual intimate imagery);
  • if you are being threatened or blackmailed, keep evidence and contact the police.

Our guide on staying safe as a creator covers what actually works.

False or abusive requests

Sending a notice you know is false, or pretending to be a creator to get their profile changed, can have legal consequences. We may ask for extra proof when a request seems off, and we may refuse requests that are clearly abusive.
